The Genius microphone is a desk microphone I use to record myself while in front of a computer. I know it is not all that professional, but I did not need a better microphone because I live in a quiet place. The Genius microphone is composed out of 2 pieces: the microphone itself and the stand. The mike and the stand cannot be separated and the mike can only rotate around a single axis. If you try to separate it, it will probably break. And it did. I fixed it with some plastic glue and it was as good as new. The cable is kind of fragile, but anyway, I am glad it did not break. The cable is 1.5 meters long and has an 1/8" output. This has been and is a good microphone, but the quality of the sound is not all that great. You can use it to chat with friends, but as it does not have any sort of sponge the quality is really not all that good. I have had some chinese microphones of the same kind, but they all broke down. The Genius microphone is way above the chinese microphones and really affordable, too.
