The Synthesia app is an app meant to help you learn how to play the piano. While it may do good on a tablet it does not make sense to install it on a device with a screen that has less than 7". The only purpose is that you learn piano, and it is constructed to have multiple levels of difficulty all which have different songs you can learn how to play. After each session you will be graded and you will or will not be unlocked the next level. The more you advance the more difficult songs you will be given, but playing on a real piano is different than using the app. What I mean by that is that the piano does not show you which notes to play while the app does so, it does not have any kind of music sheet written. The hand skill and coordination is somehow worked, even if you want to play a real piano you must have a real piano. The app is however good, has a user friendly interface, works best on tablets and even if it takes up a lot of space it is useful for practicing piano if you no not have a piano in your room. It also keeps track of your performance and gives you points and instructions on using the app.
